Badigo House
Maison Badigo by Lola Wallach is a French brand that emerged in 2020 from the encounter of two worlds. While Lola Wallach was shaped in Paris by a family that lived for art and fashion, she discovered the extraordinary craftsmanship of the Andes during her travels through South America. Today, Maison Badigo collaborates with around 50 indigenous families and preserves traditional techniques passed down through generations. Each creation combines French elegance with the cultural heritage of the Andes, telling its own unique story.
At Maison Badigo, no garment is produced industrially. Each piece of clothing is made entirely by hand. Some of the selected artisans are among the last guardians of centuries-old craft techniques. Only local natural materials such as alpaca wool, Andean wool, cashmere, organic cotton, or cactus fibers are processed. Subsequently, the fabrics are woven on traditional wooden looms or hand-knitted, while metal elements are individually engraved. This exceptional handcraft makes each model unique.
The colours at Maison Badigo also hold a special meaning. In Andean culture, they symbolise the cycles of nature and possess deep spiritual power. That is why each model is dyed by hand with natural pigments obtained from blossoms, leaves, tree bark and other plant raw materials. The result is expressive garments with unique colour nuances and an authentic character.
